TRENCALÒS TEAM 

Research, development, and progress

Trencalòs was founded in 2006 by a group of students with the goal of designing, building, and flying unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as well as organizing cultural activities around the Terrassa University Campus.

Additionally, the team participates in a biennial international competition called the Air Cargo Challenge, which takes place in various European countries and brings together around 30 university teams from all over the world. The objective of the competition is to fly an aircraft carrying the maximum possible payload while adhering to current regulations.

Furthermore, Trencalòs participated in the second edition of the XtraChallenge in July 2024, a competition similar to the Air Cargo Challenge but based in Valencia, Spain.

Overall, these activities contribute to the team's accumulation of significant experience in the field of aeronautics and unmanned aircraft.

Què ens mou per fer el que fem?

L'equip Trencalòs neix fa una dècada per satisfer la necessitat de molts estudiants d'enginyeria que voldrien aplicar els coneixements teòrics que s'han après a la universitat de forma pràctica.

D'aquesta manera, els futurs enginyers s'enriqueixen amb habilitats professionals molt abans d'haver acabat els seus estudis. Aquest tipus de formació es valora molt positivament en l'actualitat, i es per això que la facultat aposta pel suport directe, cedint espais per a desenvolupar la investigació com ajudant econòmicament en aquest tipus de projectes.

Des de la seva creació han passat desenes de joves enginyers motivats per afrontar nous reptes i expandir les seves capacitats de treball en equip.
